Hank Sundown & The Bopsters started out in March 2001 as The Cascadez. After a few years og
gigging and boozing we had the pleasure of contributing with two songs for Mike Lynams "Friday Nite
Rumble" samplers. We also had over 10 000 downloads from our website. Songs like "Grandpa Stole
My Baby" and "Backseat Boogie" were recorded on a minidisc player in our rehearsal studio. The
quality was questionable, but people seemed to like our songs anyway!
After a few line up changes we released our first full length CD, "10 000 Miles To Memphis", on the
Rockaround label in 2006. A 1000 copies were made and they are almost sold out now (December
2007). We had a local radio hit with "Sweet Lorraine" (#1 for 5 weeks) and we also got som national
air play. The CD sold well in Sweden, Germany and England...and of course Norway. We also sold
CDs to Spain, France, Holland, Finland, Brazil and Japan. Sadly the band decided to take a break
shortly after the release and we didn´t get to capitalize on the "success".
Now we are back! We have changed the name of the band, but the songs are the same (well, a few
new ones of course). We have relased a 10-track CD, which is only available online (the musical
style may be retro, but we are modern as any!). We have started rehearsing and hopefully there will
be some gigs this summer (2008).
Se ya out there!
