Webmasters notes:
This was a re-release of the cassette "Back To The 50´s with Rockabilly" (Angel Records
ARMC 0004). It was released by the Dutch label Rockhouse Records, which also released
Crazy Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers first LP.
The sound on this is very sparse and primitive compared to the later records. Anders
Westhagen wasn´t a member of the band yet, and Stig Rune handles all the solowork on this
one.
Many of the songs are played at a breathtaking pace, especially "Teddy Bop", which must be
one of the fastest songs ever recorded in the history of popular music....
Other highlights include Teencats´, without doubt, most popular song, "Elisabeth". In my
opinion it´s far from the best song they ever did, but the easy recognizable and
"singalongable" refrain was a hit with the live audiences from day one. Teencats has always
been big among the "raggars", Swedish US-car enthusiasts and "Elisabeth" is still a very
popular songs.
"Teddy Bop" is extremely rare, and "Back To 50´s With Rockabilly" is more or less impossible
to find, so if you should stumble upon a copy consider yourself lucky!
