Trouble Boys (NOR)

From troubleboysonline.tk:
During the 1980's and into the 90's, one of Norway's hardest working bands were a
rock'n'roll outfit called the Teencats. They released six albums, did more than their fair share
of national TV appearances, and toured extensively, mostly in Norway, but also in Sweden,
Denmark, Germany and France. Founding members, brothers Stig Rune and Stein-Erik
Reiten, kept the band going despite several line-up changes, but eventually they called it a day
in 1997.
In February 1999, after the Teencats had been on a hiatus for nearly two years, three of the
members got together for a local gig, celebrating the Reiten-brothers' father's significant role in
their hometown's musical community. The line-up for this event was Anders Westhagen on
guitar and vocals, Stein Houmsmoen on bass, and Stein-Erik Reiten on drums. They chose
not to use the name "Teencats", due to lead singer Stig Rune's absence from the project. The
gig went down well, and the guys decided to give the "new" band a chance. But they needed
a name… Being huge fans of Dave Edmunds, they chose the name Trouble Boys from the
opening track of Dave's "Tracks on wax 4"-album. Anders, Stein & Stein-Erik did a few gigs
as the Trouble Boys until mid-2000, when Stig Rune joined the trio for a series of Teencats
reunion-gigs.
After the Teencats-reunion faded out, the Trouble Boys were on a backburner for nearly
three years, until the spring of '04, when Anders received a phone call from a Swedish
AmCar club. They were planning a summer party, and they wanted to book the Trouble
Boys. Anders told them that they hadn't played together in a while, but that he'd check with
the rest of the guys to see if they were interested. Drummer Stein-Erik was ready to roll, but
bassman Stein had other assignments on the date of the party, so his Teencats predecessor
Mads Mikkelsen was contacted. Mads was eager to do some rockin', so they set up a few
rehearsals to see if they still hit it off musically. Long story short; they did! The trio's repertoir
of old Teencats-numbers, mixed with a few new originals and a selection of their favourite
covers went down a storm in Sweden, and the guys immediately received offers for several
other gigs.
They have since played the Wild Bunch festival twice, visited Germany and Sweden several
times, and who knows - maybe there's an album up their sleeve…

The Moonstompers (SWE)
The Moonstompers is a popular band from Sweden. These four young guys play their own
style of modern, rockabilly. It´s rockin´, it´s rollin´, it´s perfect for parties! These lads will go
a long way, but first they stop by the very first Rockabilly Rumble weekender!
From www.moonstompers.se:
It all started in August 1999, were these four youngsters Mattias Ollén, Magnus Florén, Kent
Augustsson and Tommy Berg decided to form a rockabilly band, which it's name was gonna
be 'the Moonstompers'. They started up as a coverband, but as the time went by, they
started to make songs of their own and nowadays the songs that they play are mostly
selfpenned.
In 2003 they released their first longplayer called "Brand new beat" and they also have been
taking part of several V/A records.
Now it's more then six years since this train started rollin' and there are the same passengers
on board, since the beginning. And they just keep on rocking...
