Big John Bates and the Voodoo Dollz are heading back out to melt the icy roads and spice up the Western Canada
winter in March / April 2007 before heading back to Europe in May / June. Their new CD 'Take Your Medicine' is
crossing genres between the kustom kulture crowd that has been with BJB since day one and the blues-rock crowd
that is just being introduced to their rock'n'roll mayhem.
In June 2006, at the end of their last European tour, BJB & the Dollz pulled together a show in their hometown of
Vancouver at the infamous Richard's on Richards. It was filmed by a 5-camera crew from Cinestir Productions (The
Widower, Lowdown on Lowbrow) and was recorded by the Hive Studios (the sound of Canadian indie rock).
Mixed by Todd Simko (Mystiki, Take Your Medicine) and containing exactly zero overdubs, it captures the band
playing a cool, tight set and the Dollz doing the definitive (and some final) versions of their most infamous numbers.
Although no release date has yet been set, the DVD will definitely be ready for release in Spring 2007 and will be

Big John and sCare-oline have been holed up in rainy Vancouver working on new songs, and emerged to strangely
find themselves on charts in Europe with bands like the Black Keys and the White Stripes. Well whatever it
takes to make the party bigger!! And of course Little Miss Risk and her Voodoo Dollz will be adding to that by
serving up their absolutely unique style of burlesque. Come and get 'em while you can!
